Jimmy is helping him out by providing him with things like groceries. Before becoming a lawyer, Jimmy had a troubled background as a small-time fraudster in Chicago. He then relocated to Albuquerque to start over and work at his brother’s company. We also meet Mike Ehrmantraut, a former police officer who now works as a toll collector in the courtroom parking lot. We observe the intersection of Jimmy and Mike’s narratives as well as Jimmy’s gradual transformation into the Saul Goodman of Breaking Bad.
