Easy Steps to Register for CBI Net Banking: 

Below mentioned are the steps to register for CBI Internet Banking:

  • Collect the application form from the nearest CBI branch during Central Bank of India Timings. Alternatively, download it from the CBI’s official website i.e. https://www.centralbank.net.in/jsp/Register.htm.
  • Fill out the form and submit it to the home branch.
  • Bank will start processing the activation of the net banking service.
  • The login and the transaction password would be sent to the registered address separately.
  • After receiving the same, the user has to visit the branch to get the User ID.
  • Using the User ID, login password, and transaction password CBI net banking can be activated.

Steps to create login password online:

After Branch enables Internet banking Facility visit the Bank Internet banking website: https://www.centralbank.net.in to generate an online login password in 3 simple steps:

  1. Retail customers can log in the Internet Banking through the Personal Banking tab.
  2. Enter the User ID (CIF) and other authentication details.
  3. Enter the registered mobile number and click on “Generate” to receive OTP. With the help of OTP set a new password immediately.

Steps to create T-PIN online:

Below mentioned are the steps to create T-PIN online:

  • Log in using the User ID and password. 
  • Go to the tab “Options” on CBI official website and then select “Transaction Password Generation”.
  • Enter the mobile number registered with the bank.
  • An OTP will be received on the registered mobile number which will expire in 3 minutes.
  • Set a new T-PIN by changing the OTP.

How to add a beneficiary in CBI Net Banking?

Below mentioned are steps to add the beneficiary so as to transfer the funds:

  • Log in to the official website of CBI.
  • Click on “Fund Transfer”.
  • Click on “Add Beneficiary”.
  • Select an option from “CBI” or “Other Bank”.
  • Provide the bank details like the Name of the Bank, branch name, IFSC Code, Account holder’s name, etc.
  • Also, one can add a nickname for the beneficiary.
  • Click “Submit”.
  • Now the beneficiary would be added if the grid authentication is successful.

How to open CBI Savings Account Online?

Below mentioned are steps to add the beneficiary so as to transfer the funds:

  • Login to the bank’s “online savings account opening portal”.
  • Fill out the form and click on “Submit”.
  • The bank will then process the request for opening a new savings account.
  • Users can also check the status of their application via this portal only.

Security Features

Do’s:

  • Open the CBI official website centralbank.net.in or www.centralbankofinia.co.in.
  • Change the password that has been provided by the bank.
  • Assure the address displays https:// and not http:// while entering the login ID and the password.
  • Antivirus should always be updated in the system.
  • The account’s transaction history shall always be checked.
  • Change the password in case of any suspicion that someone else is also aware of the password.

Don’ts:

  • Do not share the credentials like ID and password with anyone.
  • Do not respond to any suspicious emails.
  • Do not download anything from an unknown source.
  • Don’t keep the ID and password in anyone’s approach.
  • Do not leave the net banking account logged in if not in use.
  • Do not use public workstations to use net banking.

A solution to the Security Certificate Issue:

  • Open Internet Explorer and go to “Tools”.
  • Click on “Internet Options”.
  • Click on the tab “Security” and then click on “Trusted Sites”.
  • Click on “Sites”.
  • Add the CBI official website i.e. https://www.centralbank.net.in/ to the list.
  • Close the net banking page.
  • Now, reopen the application to use it further without any requirement of security issues.
