NovoLog  FlexPen  (insulin aspart [rDNA origin] injection) is an insulin delivery device, containing NovoLog aspart, which when injected subcutaneously, provides basal insulin coverage with mealtime bolus insulin doses to control blood glucose in adults with type 1 diabetes and adults with type 2 diabetes using intensive insulin therapy (3 or more insulin injections per day). The NovoLog FlexPen has been studied in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
